Homelessness is a major concern in Manchester. It would be impossible for us to spend our time working in property services, without acknowledging and assisting to tackle this issue.
Here at Edward Carter Properties, we’re passionate about doing whatever we can to help reduce homelessness. Further than that, we’re committed to giving back to our local community.
Centrepoint Manchester – Our Chosen Charity
Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. Their vision and mission are something that we completely stand behind. This is why we donate on average approximately 10% of our monthly fees for managed properties to CentrePoint under their ‘Sponsor a Room’ scheme.
Housing the Homeless with Edward Carter
For every Landlord signing up to one of our Fully Managed services, Edward Carter Properties will 'Sponsor a Room' with Centrepoint, donating the monthly fee required to assist them to:
- Provide housing for homeless young people, moving them out of homelessness into a warm, safe room
- Support young people with counselling, health support and practical advice
- Give young people the skills they need to find a job, or support them into education
- Teach young people essential life skills such as cooking or budgeting
- Help young people move on independently, rebuilding their lives and relationships
